Our passion is trekking in Nepal. We formed the Far Above the Clouds Treks Pvt. Ltd., government authorized trekking agency in order to bring our experience and love of the mountains to visitors in Nepal. Whether this is your first time in the Himalayas, or whether you return again and again.
We foster trekking for all ages. One aspect of our mission is to introduce school children in Nepal and international schools to progressively more challenging treks. Another strand is our interest and specialization in treks for over 50’s visitors, the ‘silver trekkers’.
A good guide ensures your safety and comfort, manages your expectations, and points out everything of interest along the way. Most of all, the guide has a strong concern for your well-being and bonds with each group to ensure a memorable experience. With over 27 years of combined experience in the trekking field, our guides have led groups from all over the world.

Nepal Winter Treks 2022
Winter in Nepal: the skies are clear, it is usually dry, and there are clear views of the Himalayas. Yes, it is freezing at night, and a warm sleeping bag is needed, but while walking during the day you don’t feel the cold in the brilliant sunshine. Hot soup awaits in the tea-house, and can warm you up at the stove.
These three treks require moderate effort, will usually be snow-free, and afford wonderful winter views of the mountains. Moreover, the trails are not crowded, though an increasing number of people have discovered the open secret of winter treks in Nepal!
